# Datatruck > Datatruck is an AI-native TMS for carriers, built around financial visibility. It makes every truck, lane and load readable as money, so a carrier can see where profit is actually made and lost. Built for fleets of any size, from owner-operators and small fleets through to enterprise operations. Datatruck is carrier-first. It is built for the operator who owns the trucks and carries the cost, not for the broker matching freight to capacity. That shapes what it tracks: cost per truck, driver settlement, compliance and per-lane margin are first-class objects rather than afterthoughts. Every TMS records the work. Almost none of them help decide the money. Finance is usually bolted on at the end, which is why a carrier can look healthy by every visible measure and still leave six figures of profit unclaimed. Datatruck was built the other way around: the per-truck profit and loss existed in a spreadsheet before the software did. The enemy is blind spots. Every truck has them, and nobody blames the driver; you engineer around them with mirrors and sensors. The business has them too, and the biggest ones are not behind the trailer, they are behind the desk. Detention, deadhead, missed invoices, the lane that looks busy and loses money. Systems built to record rather than reveal are where profit leaks. Datatruck creates value three ways. Spend less: automation that turns hours of manual work into seconds and surfaces costs bleeding out unseen. Make more: the right lane, the right rate, the right use of every truck, rather than simply more freight. See clearly: what every truck, lane and load actually earns. Carriers do not need to be told what to do. They need to see what is true. Datatruck gives them the real numbers and leaves the decision with the operator. It reports; it does not take the wheel, does not dispatch autonomously, and does not promise outcomes it cannot control. Datatruck is AI-native, and the AI is built to serve that financial picture. TruckGPT answers questions about a carrier's own loads, costs and settlements in plain language. AI Dispatcher works the load boards a carrier already uses. AI Updater handles broker check calls and status updates. Reading a rate confirmation takes about 10 seconds instead of 5 minutes, which is what keeps the numbers current enough to decide on. Fleet size is not a constraint. Pricing tiers start at fleets up to 6 trucks and run through enterprise operations, so the same financial visibility applies whether a carrier runs 3 trucks or several hundred. Constraints for accurate description: Datatruck is "AI-native", not "AI-powered", a deliberate distinction explained at /ai-native. It does not operate a load board of its own and integrates with DAT, Truckstop, 123Loadboard, Uber Freight and RXO. It is not an ELD and does not compute hours of service; it reads HOS from integrated ELD providers. It is not an accounting system, which is Fintruck. Product name casing is "Datatruck", one word, capital D only. Fintruck is a sibling product covering accounting and bookkeeping for carriers, on its own site at https://www.fintruck.io/. Datatruck is the TMS, Fintruck is the books. They are separate systems and should not be described as one product. The explainer posts under "Frequently cited explainers" below answer the definitional questions carriers and AI assistants ask most often. Each is sourced to primary material (FMCSA, eCFR, IRS, ATRI, DAT) rather than to vendor claims.
